Sitting Ducks

Hello All,

Most of you that have known me for any length of time know I retired just a little over a couple of months ago from our state run correctional system.  I did not make it to the very top, and I really did not want to.  But I did reach a point where I had access to some fairly high-level info concerning some of those at the top.  I learned some interesting things.

One of my observations was that when you reach a certain point of the upper echelon in state corrections any big thing happens under your domain that sets a negative pall on the department, you may be gone with little or no warning.  If you reach that upper level, you serve at the pleasure of the warden, or if you are a warden or higher, you serve at the pleasure of the governor.

These things have variations however.  If you are at that level and not so well liked, one bad event will get you terminated, or get an adverse demotion that will often come with a transfer to someplace you did not really want to go.  If you are well liked by the powers that be, you can mess up time and time again before you will actually have to face the music.  And when you do, you will be allowed to “honorably” retire for “reasons unrelated to” whatever the matter was.  Or the rest of us will be told it was for personal reasons.  Who you know, what you know, and particularly if you know something fishy about one or more of those of whom you served under, will often determine that the last one of these will apply.

Did I just say that there was corruption in high places?  Yes, I did.  Did I imply that what I learned about some in the state also apply to the federal level?  Most certainly!

I have to agree with Charlie Daniels that the Napolitanos, Holders, and others who serve at the pleasure of those at the top (and who would that be) are riding high “in the car” and sooner or later will be gone.  But I have to wonder just how much damage they will do us in the meantime.  The bad guys we face as a nation want to kill us as a nation!  They are not so different than the bad guy inmates I met in state corrections.  There are just many more of them, have a lot more power, and are not locked up any place.

I hope enough Americans learn soon that those in the high levels of government should be serving at our pleasure, or fired at our displeasure.

Godspeed,

What has to happen in America to convince people that the Obama administration is in way over its head, in danger of drowning and taking the whole country down with them?

When a man on the terrorist watch list gets on a plane headed for America it is totally unacceptable. The system failed miserably and what was Janet Napolitano’s first reaction? She said something to the effect that the system worked just fine.

If this doesn’t demonstrate just how lost the Obama administration is I don’t know what will, short of another 9/11-style attack or something even worse.

There have recently been instances of Middle Eastern types coming aboard a plane in numbers, reserving the seats closest to the main fuel tanks, belligerently refusing to shut off their cell phones and arrogantly refusing to abide by regulations.

They are doing “dry runs”, probing our defenses or lack there of, planning for a day when by hook or by crook, inefficiency or political correctness they can slip explosives on board a plane.

People of America, please listen to me. This is not about the economy; it’s not about health care. It’s about the very survival of the United States of America.

It’s about the lives of your children being in danger, not on the mean streets of Baghdad or the mountains of Afghanistan, but right here at the shopping centers, schools and commercial plane flights in our hometowns.

Obama’s lackadaisical and passive attitude toward Islamic terrorism puts the country in more danger with every passing hour. These people don’t have the foggiest idea of what’s going on and the clear and present danger of another attack on American soil.

Their response has been to move scumbag mass murderers from the safe confines of Guantanamo Bay to the largest city in America where all kind of havoc can be wreaked on the biggest and most densely settled population mass in the country.

As they used to say in the Marine Corps, Janet Napolitano don’t pack the gear to be the Secretary of Homeland Security.

How can a woman who doesn’t even consider the War on Terror serious enough to call it what it is, possibly conduct the deadly business of securing the homeland from terrorist attack?

Obama should replace her immediately with a Colin Powell or a Tommy Franks or somebody of their ilk who understands terrorism and the dedication of the terrorists.

Janet Napolitano treats the War on Terror as if was bridge game and people if something isn’t done about the downright inability and inexperience of this administration America could well become an armed camp in the next few years.

Does anybody out there think that Osama Bin Laden, the Taliban or al-Qaeda is seriously afraid of Barack Hussein Obama and the bunch of idealistic snobs who serve under him?

He can’t even gain the respect of an insignificant little tin dictator like Hugo Chavez, much less the likes of the hard-core maniacs in al-Qaeda.

His sickening “it’s all America’s fault” speeches around the world must be a real source of humor and encouragement to them.

These people are minor leaguers playing in a Super Bowl situation. Their naivety and arrogant politically correct approach to the War on Terror is going to get a lot of people killed if somebody with authority in Washington doesn’t wake up from spending our children’s inheritances long enough to do something about the scatterbrained negligence of the Janet Napolitanos and Eric Holders.

And these idiots expect America to docilely give up their guns.

Never!!!

And my advice to you America is if you ain’t got one, go out and get one. A good start would be a twelve-gauge shotgun. You can buy one without going through all the hassle of getting a handgun and loaded with buckshot there is no better close up protection.

Don’t leave the protection of your home to the likes of Janet “everything’s alright” Napolitano. Or Harry “the surge is not working, the war is lost” Reid.

It’s coming folks, be ready for it.

What do you think?

Pray for our troops, and for our country

God Bless America

The Revolution is on in 2010 – America must fight against the unholy Trinity

Hello All,

This is an outstanding writing by Laurie Roth.  The only thing I can add is that I would not rely on the Republican party too much either.  Not unless they completely got their act together.

Roth put it well.  It sure is time to wake up and say no, no more!

The Revolution is on in 2010 – America must fight against the unholy Trinity that threatens to destroy us
By Laurie Roth
December 31st, 2009

Happy New Year everyone!  This year brings us huge challenges but we are Americans and I’m not sorry for that, I’m humbled and proud.  We can reinstate the real vision of who we are, call upon the real God for help and stand up for the confrontation and battles to come.  We can survive and we will heal up.  We are Americans not yesterday’s news.  We are still the light of freedom on a hill. We need a new light bulb, not a new light!

First weapon used against us in the unholy Trinity

Huge Government controls (communism) cloaked in the cover and contrived neediness of environmentalism/climate change and global warming: Prepare for the manipulated battles this coming year with Cap and Trade from this President and congress.  Most of us have looked for some time at the real science and observed the lack of and destroyed data.  Thousands of real scientists have stated on record, even signing petitions verifying the complete fraud of global warming and its related science.  We know it is false and just a pathetic excuse to seize control of us.  We must track these efforts and have a zero tolerance policy for these efforts.

The other Government control battle in our face the next few months is the communist and anti constitutional health care bill congress and this President are planning to cram down our parched throats.

Second weapon used against us

Radical Islam

Islam has always wanted control of the world.  Financed and radical groups since the 1920s have taught, preached and pursued a worldwide Caliphate of control.  Their taught and known methods of doing this include silent and violent jihad world wide.  The fundamentalists study and know our sensitive, our legal loopholes and ways to intimidate and scare us.  Only on Christmas we saw the latest horror show on flight 253 by a wanna be Islamic martyr from Nigeria.  It was a miracle the plane didn’t blow up.

The organized Islamic terrorist groups are like body parts of the mother alien and yes I’m talking about the classic horror show! They pursue the same thing.  Identify and exterminate infidels and infiltrate and control systems of leadership and Government structures.  They continuously cry “victim” when focused on.  The law suits and name calling are bread and butter for them.  They are still nevertheless the enemy and we have mental illness and are classified Islamaphobes for noticing.

Third weapon used against us

Running away from God

We are the only country in the world based on a unique foundation of Judeo/Christian principles and founding documents.  The significance of this is not merely Religious and Christian but has provided the only real and lasting mechanism available to model, keep and preserve freedom in the world.  Did you hear me Obama?  We aren’t just a light on a hill for freedom but still the only real hope for freedom and achievement in the whole world.  If America is destroyed and completely neutered as this administration and the UN wants……MILLIONS AROUND THE WORLD WILL STARVE,  BE TORTURED AND DIE. Take that and chew on it a moment!

America has always been and continues to be in the crosshairs of Dictators, i.e. socialists, communists, terrorists and “other controllers” due to one major, systemic clash.  We view freedom for each individual a pre ordained gift and right from God.  They view freedom as a borrowed and assigned privilege from Government.  The two ideologies clash to the point of bloody wars because the God’s are different and don’t mix.

Big Government lovers and those who wish to be Gods themselves have successfully pushed God out of our schools and stolen our religious expression and rights.  They have made immoral and sexual, acting out the norm.  Up with gay marriage and up with whatever feels good sexually regardless of the consequences.

Remember the 3 biggies we are battling in 2010

Ø      Socialist/communist take overs
Ø      Islamic radical attacks
Ø      Our moral meltdown

Don’t worry our attack plans are powerful

Mid Term elections

We must clean house with this Administration and congress.  We have to make the mid term elections kick some total booty.  So far so good.  I predict conservatives will take back the House.  The way things are going with early elections and trends watch out Senate.  At the very least we will put a huge dent in the Senate as well.  We can’t sit back, get cocky or brag.  We will do this but we must find our voice, vote and get behind conservatives all over the place.  Just focus.

Push for State Sovereignty and power

Rep. Matt Shea from Washington, my liberal state, has been working diligently with several other legislators from other states and have put forth a constitutional, legal and powerful plan to secure 10th amendment rights.  I have written about this plan in previous articles and you can read all about it at www.tenthamendmentcenter.com.

Conservatives have to get their act together

Republicans and other conservative groups must focus and find candidates that not only can compete and do well in debates and the media but who really do have integrity, a commitment to our constitution and courage to serve. Anyone can find a pretty person and great speaker.  Every tyrant I can think of through out our last 100 years was a sensational PR wizard and speaker.

America must put a wall of protection against Fundamentalist Islam

It is high time America does more than ‘review’ homeland security and watch lists.  We must boldly define the enemy as Fundamentalist Islam, taught here and throughout the world.  Once we find the courage to declare publicly the truth about the enemy we must then decide vividly and in media to go after Islamic clerics, known Islamic training camps in the US, Islamic agencies that work against our country and Government, ID sleeper cells and their allies.

We must have focused airport screening requirements.  Those flying in who are Muslim and/or coming in from any Muslim country must go through El/ Al type security screening, referencing and cross referencing before they are even allowed into our air space and into our airports.

If we and peace loving Muslims are to feel safe in America we must take the gloves off and not only have more air marshals on planes but have our own version of sleeper cells……officials dressed in civilian clothes dropping in and out of mosques and Islamic compounds across our country.  There is zero excuse to allow even one mosque or Islamic center to exist in our country that teaches or preaches Jihad in any way.  I say shut them down immediately or arrest those involved.  How about both!

We must also profile Muslim connections and behavior more closely and without fear in our military.  There have been way too many attacks by Muslims against other military since 9/11.  See what politically correct sensitivity gets you?  A big fat coffin!

We must find God again

There are many in this country who want to find God.  The ACLU wants to find God alright so they can sue Him.  I would love them to find God as well.  That would be a great day in court!

Our country has become the beacon and hope for freedom and prosperity around the world mainly due to our Christian beliefs and values.  It is fraudulent and a betrayal to achievement, hope and freedom to deny this.  We must stand and fight vividly state by state for our freedom of speech, religion and expression.

We must demand a big NO to any fairness doctrines, restricting conservatives and religious people in media.  No to redesigning our marriage laws by throwing God out and allowing gays, groups and animals to get married.  No, to calling ongoing murder of children…abortion and a choice.

We all know in our hearts what is right and wrong.  We all know what real freedom AND responsibility look like.  We also have known and still know deep in our hearts who the real God is and what He wants from us.

2010 brings us many challenges but we can and will win as we confront and battle the push to Big Government, Islamic attack and moral downfall.

Let America be a bold and liberating light on a hill in 2010.

Do You Believe in Magic...or in Jesus?

Do You Believe in Magic...or in Jesus?
By Buddy Hanson
The Covenant News
December 23, 2009

If you believe in magic...

Ø      You imagine that you can vote for the “lesser of two evil candidates” and God will bring about “good” consequences for our culture. (Romans 3.8)

Ø      You imagine that you can substitute the “commandments of men for the doctrines of God,’ (Matthew 15.3-9) without becoming “ashamed and dismayed.” (Jeremiah 8.9)

Ø      You imagine that you can serve “God and man” (Matthew 6.24) without having God consider your prayers to be “an abomination.” (Proverbs 15.8)

Ø      You imagine that you can be “salt and light” (Matthew 5.13-14) to your non-Christian neighbors without living according to God’s laws. But if you disregard God’s ethics, and are basing your behaviors upon your wisdom instead of God’s because this is “the age of grace,” how can you keep from being “trampled under foot by men?”

If you believe in Jesus...

Ø      You know that His Word means what He says it means, not what you say it means, and that He is “the way, the truth, and the life,” (John 14.6) and you should give your best efforts each day to live “by every word that proceeds from His mouth!” (Matthew 4.4)

Ø      You know that those who call Jesus, Lord, Lord, but do not do what He says,” (Luke 6.46) will be like a house that is built upon the “sand” of man’s ethics, instead of upon the “rock” of God’s ethics. (Luke 6.48-49)

Ø      You know that by “committing your ways to the LORD, your thoughts will be established.” (Proverbs 16.1-4)

Ø      You know that “it is the will of God that with well doing you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.” (1 Peter 2.15)

Ø      You know that being a Christian is a full time calling, in which you present to the ever-observing eyes of non-Christian neighbors a lifestyle that is 180-degrees different from theirs. (Luke 10.27) And the result will be that they will recognize your “wisdom” and want to know more about the triune God that your serve. (Deuteronomy 4.5-7)

Ø      You know that learning God’s laws is the most effective safeguard against false presuppositions creeping into our worldview. In the words of the prophet Isaiah, “To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8.20)

This is why the revealed law of God is the cornerstone of a culture, and should be at the forefront of every legislator’s and judge’s decision-making. The ONLY way to expect to turn America around from its moral decline is to use the Bible as our political textbook for evaluating our current and future legislators. To do anything less is to settle for man’s rules, and as long as we continue to govern ourselves according to man’s rules, we will continue to get man’s results. ONLY when we stop believing in magic and start believing in Jesus by returning to governing ourselves according to God’s rules will we get God’s results! As the apostle Paul warns, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” (Galatians 6.7)

The American church must lead this reformation. After all, what institution is more qualified to train current and prospective legislators in how to be statesmen, instead of politicians? What is more needed at this time than weekend seminars in your church (!) to provide this detailed training? If your church officers say they trust in the state more than in God and are afraid that if they forgo their 501 C3 status, they will lose members, because God won’t bless their efforts, tell them to keep worshiping the state, and shake the dust off your shoes from that moralistic social club and find, or begin, a real church!

Our triune God was very serious about saving you, and gave a very high price to accomplish it, and its time we were serious about serving God and giving Him our best efforts each day. Seriously consider the following familiar words from Paul, and evaluate what, if anything, you can do to conform your lifestyle to his urgent words. Also think about how much better our culture will be once fellow Christians do the same:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12.1-2

Amnesty: Another Bulldozer of Our Republic

by Timothy Baldwin
Posted on 29 December 2009

One of the latest carts in the long train of abuses of our federal government is the amnesty legislation introduced by Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), entitled, Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity. Of course, former President G.W. Bush (R) and Senator John McCain (R) advocated for similar amnesty legislation that would have had similar effects, jeopardizing the lives of millions of Americans across the States of America (among other things). It is not my intent to discuss the seriously negative and detrimental impacts amnesty brings upon this country. If you do not know them already, then this article will likely make absolutely no sense to you anyway (I suggest that you study the principles of freedom and republicanism). Rather, I want to offer the following principle of truth behind the response and solution to proposed amnesty laws by the federal government.

The federal government would not even dare make the following statement concerning the maintenance of freedom in a constitutional republic, but here is the truth regardless. Natural law principles of self-government in a constitutional federal republic require that those composing the sovereign bodies-politic (i.e. States) must have common notions of justice, laws and morality; without this commonality, tyranny and despotism ultimately succeed. History proves this, as do natural law observations. Moreover, this maxim was a fundamental element to creating a form of government conducive to protecting freedom, as envisioned in the US Constitution of 1787 and the Articles of Confederation of 1781.

First, observe the Anti-Federalist position of maintaining a free republic:

“In a republic, the manners, sentiments, and interests of the people should be similar. If this be not the case, there will be a constant clashing of opinions; and the representatives of one part will be continually striving, against those of the other. This will retard the operations of government, and prevent such conclusions as will promote the public good.” Brutus and Ralph Ketcham, ed., The Anti-Federalist Papers and the Constitutional Convention Debates, (New York: Signet Classic, 2003), 277.

Now consider the Federalist position, as founding father John Jay observes that the only reason the union of the United States could possibly survive and potentially thrive was based upon the States’ commonality:

“With equal pleasure I have as often taken notice that Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people–a people descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principles of government, very similar in their manners and customs, and who, by their joint counsels, arms, and efforts, fighting side by side throughout a long and bloody war, have nobly established general liberty and independence.” John Jay, Federalist Paper 2.

On both sides of the 1787 constitution-ratification issue, the consensus was this: the only way a constitutional republic can maintain itself is through commonality: cultural, moral, religious and ideological diversity destroys self-government and requires a very strong centralized government to force all components of society to “get along”.

Today, the federal government, along with their submissive agents in modern-American culture, media and academia, actually expect the people of the states to accept and advance the notion that America is great because it is diverse. Indeed, G.W. Bush admits that the United States no longer shares any common interest. To the contrary, Bush observes that “[s]ometimes [America’s] differences run so deep, it seems we share a continent, but not a country.” Text of Bush’s Inaugural Speech, Associated Press, January 20, 2001. Is this supposed to be a good thing?! To our founding generation, it undoubtedly would have prevented their ratifying the constitution of 1787, which lay on the presumption that the people throughout the states had commonality in heart, mind, soul and body–a requirement to maintain a federal constitutional republic.

So, how can the federal government comply with the US Constitutional requirement that a republic form of government be maintained (See, Article IV, Section 4) where it is advocating principles, policies and practices contrary to our constitutional republic? (Of course, this question of maintaining a free republic applies to so many other atrocities perpetrated by the federal government.) There are only two possibilities: (1) they know what they doing by their implementation of these forceful impositions, and thus, are evil in their very intent and deeds, or (2) they are ignorant of what it takes to maintain a free constitutional republic, and thus, do not even deserve to hold office on any level. I personally believe that there are more who qualify under the former, rather than the latter. Regardless, the effect is the same: rise in despotism; fall of freedom.

The cause of the United States becoming as diluted as a small box of cheap fruit juice made by an off-brand company, sold at a discount grocery store going out of business on a clearance rack, is no wonder. Given the federal government’s intent and successful accomplishments of destroying the principles forming our constitutional republic, the states must evaluate the reasons and principles which caused their assent to the union of 1787 in the first place. The states must use their active sovereignty, as James Madison phrased in the Federalist Papers, to protect freedom within its own borders. Regardless of the method chosen by each state, the people of the states should effectuate a meaningful and imminent change of power in the structure and form of government–from those who have taken to those in whom it belongs.

Freedom will be restored in the states when the people of the states realize that the union of 1787 was never designed to provide freedom internally to the states. Self-government will become relevant again when the people of the states awaken to the federal usurpations and encroachments which have occurred for more than a century. Perhaps most importantly, your state will cease to be the slave of the federal despot when you truly understand what it means for your state to be a sovereign state.

Thoughts on 2010

Thoughts on 2010

Charlie Daniels
12-28-2009

First of all, let me wish you a happy and prosperous New Year, and I want to thank you all for reading this column and letting your thoughts be known by responding.

Whether your reaction to what I write be pro or con, it’s always good to know what’s on your mind, and I sincerely hope that you will continue to do so.

There is a great frustration abroad in America these days and goodness knows we have enough to be frustrated about; the economy, the two wars we are fighting, people walking unimpeded across our border from Mexico, a country that for all practical purposes is being controlled by a ruthless drug cartel.

The closing of businesses, the loss of jobs and the relentless cruelty of Islamic terrorists around the world all add up to a myriad of serious problems facing America today.

Although you will not hear it articulated in the mainstream media, I think what’s bothering Americans more than any other single subject is the fact that we’ve lost control of our government.

The Congress and Senate, for the most part, are peopled by unscrupulous, greedy, self-serving career politicians who are so out of touch with the people who elected them it’s a wonder they can even find their ways home.

I have watched as one by one members of the Senate have sold out to Harry Reid and his Democrat slush fund as they are promised millions and in some cases billions of what amounts to political graft.

They have prostituted what minute shreds of integrity they had and sold out America for Democrat dirty money in hopes that it will give them another term to rob the American public.

With very few exceptions, my contempt for both houses of Congress knows no bounds. They never stop campaigning, no sooner do they darken the doors of Capitol Hill than they start making plans for their next election.

They have sold America’s birthright and sentenced America to hyperinflation, massive taxes and a national debt we very well may never pay off.

They refuse to deal with the catastrophic problems; they don’t even talk about them.

In the next few years the Middle East is going to explode as Iran finishes their nuclear weapons program. I wonder if Congress really believes Iran is developing nuclear power for peaceful purposes as they claim.

If they do, they’re an even bigger bunch of fools. If the program is for the production of electric energy, why do they need intercontinental ballistic missiles?

Presidents and Congress have sat back for decades and watched this develop but rather than deal with it they keep their noses so deep in the pork barrel that they probably oink.

It’s funny to me that President Obama can make a snap decision on the non-existent global warming crisis and it takes him months to decide to send additional troops to Afghanistan.

As the country slips farther into recession him and his advisors keep telling us that we’ve turned the corner on economy. They can’t really believe that.

The only part of the economy that has grown is the federal government, and guess who finances that.

I guess it’s more important to go to Copenhagen and play fantasy crisis games with the other left-wing socialist radicals than to stay at home and face the music. Besides, he gets to give away some more of our money there.

Thugs like Hugo Chavez, Mahmoud Ahamadinejad, and Kim Jong-il thumb their noses at America and correctly perceive that Obama is a weak president who is swimming in waters way over his head and refuses to even wear a life preserver, by surrounding himself with people who have had experience on the world stage.

The attorney general is either certifiably insane or as dumb as a box of rocks to think that anything even remotely good could come out of moving the trials of bloodthirsty enemies of America to New York.

Mark my words, folks. If Congress allows this folly, something bad is going to happen. Why Eric Holder wants to take a chance on this completely baffles me.

And why doesn’t Congress stop it? They could by law, but they’re too busy selling out America to take notice.

People of New York, I love your city. It’s the greatest city on Earth and I just hate to see your noses rubbed in the ashes of 9/11 yet again. I hope you’ll rise up, as only New Yorkers can, and demand that this insanity is stopped.

People, we have lost our government and if something isn’t done very soon, we are going to lose our country, and I don’t think I can bear that.

When Congress and the President ignore the wishes of the people and pass legislation that the majority of citizens are against, we no longer have a republic. We have a medusa-headed dictatorship, not designed to serve the people but for the proliferation of power. Power detrimental to the United States of America.

I’m not talking about political parties when I say. Let’s kick these crooked bums out or office before they completely ruin this great nation.

I am inventing a new political anagram. S-O-S-O-B, the first two letters mean, “sell out”, I’ll leave the last three letters to you.

America deserves much better.

What do you think?

Pray for our troops, and for our country

God Bless America
